First Visitors

First visitors- population soared

For the first time since we bought the place we finally had official visitors!!! Our family friends from Florida came to visit us up in Galicia and we almost doubled the population. In our small hamlet there are about 6 people give or take all year round, though during holidays relatives and friends come to visit. When our family friends came we gave them the grand tour of the local sites, cuisine and surrounding countryside. It was an amazing experience and there were lots of firsts for everyone. It was the Christmas season so we found and set up a real tree, gleefully decorating our new home for the holidays. We saw snow up there for the first time and also introduced them to the cows that were living on our land. We all had a blast experiencing the finca and that short yet eventful visit opened their eyes to a whole new (old) world away from the well known cities and helped us stop and appreciate how cool our manor really was, after months of hard work.
